We care deeply about integrating SEE-MORE into the local community in a way that aligns with and honours residents past, present and future. We are proud to collaborate with Mi’kmaq visual artist Jordan Bennett on a brand new mural that will be displayed in SEE-MORE’s courtyard in October, 2022. Pictured is one of Bennett’s public art pieces.

My name is Mackenzie, I am a second year Science student at Dalhousie and have thoroughly enjoyed my experience with University Apartments. The location is great, especially if you are looking to meet new people and experience living on campus not in residence. The updated appliances and furnishings are one of my favourite aspects and additionally the management is wonderful and easy to get in contact with. :)

Living in a University Apartments building has allowed me to create strong friendships with other students within my building. As well as meeting students in my program and creating study groups. This fully furnished apartment was a great first place to live coming out of first year as you still have the social atmosphere with the other tenants and it is very convenient as it is within a few minutes from bus stops, grocery stores and campus!

The location of my apartment is approximately a 10 minute walk from the Dalhousie campus which is extremely convenient and the street it’s located on is really lovely and filled with life. The building is occupied by a lot of 2nd and 3rd year students and it’s extremely easy to get to know your neighbours. The building and area is very much community based and I am very lucky to have such a great space to spend my time when I’m not in classes or at work.

How we collaborate with students

As a company started by students unable to find affordable housing that suited their needs, we understand the complexities of student life. It’s our goal to support students in as many ways as possible and provide them with co-living spaces that will help them make the most of their uni experience. Our Community Ambassador program gives students an opportunity to save money on rent and work in the building, and it means other students have access to support from mentors living on their floor.
